Job Details
As a Senior Plumbing Engineer, you will lead design efforts and provide system design support, collaborating closely with all MEP disciplines to ensure seamless and well-coordinated designs. This dynamic position also includes consulting and engaging with clients, architects, vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement design standards and criteria for projects, including preparing calculations, reports, and specifications.
Select fire suppression systems, create preliminary designs, and draft performance specifications.
Provide expertise in areas such as existing facility due diligence, sustainability analysis, and feasibility reporting.
Produce drawings aligned with client requirements and organizational standards.
Take full responsibility for managing the projects assigned to you.
Engage in business development activities as necessary.
Represent the organization in trade associations and deliver professional presentations.
Establish and manage project budgets and schedules.
Participate in the QA / QC process for work completed by team members.
Mentor and train junior staff to support their professional growth.
Engineer Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for exceptional candidates.
A minimum of 11 years of experience in the Plumbing Design field.
Proficiency in the latest version of REVIT is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of fire suppression system applications, supported by formal training (, NFPA 99) and hands-on project experience.
Strong understanding of Mechanical / Plumbing trades, building codes, and technical drawings / documents.
In-depth knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers, with the ability to independently make appropriate selections.
Capability to independently perform fire suppression hydraulic calculations, estimate construction costs, and assess construction feasibility.
Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) certification is highly preferred.
