The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating new products, developing food ingredients, ensuring product safety and quality, conducting experiments, and working with additives and flavors. Responsibilities :
The R&D Scientist will be responsible for the following duties :
1. Develop and optimize product formulations using scientific principles and techniques.
2. Conduct experiments to test the quality and safety of products.
3. Develop new food ingredients and improve existing ones to enhance product performance.
4. Work with additives and flavors to create unique and innovative products.
5. Conduct stability testing and shelf life studies to ensure product safety and quality.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to commercialization.
7. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
8. Document all research findings and present them to relevant stakeholders.
9. Solve complex problems and make decisions based on data analysis and interpretation.
10. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for the R&D Scientist position should have the following qualifications :
1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree or is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of food ingredients, additives, and flavors.
4. Proven experience in product formulation and development.
5. Excellent experimental skills and a strong understanding of scientific principles.
6. Solid understanding of food safety and quality standards.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on data analysis.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. An innovative mindset and a passion for creating new products.
11. Proficiency in using various software and databases for data analysis and documentation.
12. Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
