Responsibilities :
As a Permanent Property Controller / Accounting Manager, you will :
1. Oversee and manage all accounting operations related to our real estate portfolio, including commercial, residential, and multifamily properties.
2. Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
3. Utilize Yardi and MRI software for property management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
4. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and potential risks.
5. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
6. Collaborate with the management team to set budgets, forecast financial outcomes, and make strategic financial decisions.
7. Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Implement strategies to streamline accounting processes and improve financial efficiency.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this position, you will need :
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the real estate industry, with a focus on commercial real estate accounting, residential, and multifamily properties.
3. Proficiency in Yardi and MRI software is a must.
4. Exceptional financial acumen, with a deep understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting.
5. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to a variety of audiences.
