Job Details
SUMMARY : As our Air Quality Specialist you will be responsible for air quality permitting, compliance and reporting activities associated with our operations and related facilities.
MUST HAVES :
Familiarity with Colorado Air regulations, Familiarity with Federal Air Regulations.
Oil & Gas Air Quality Knowledge.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist with all air permitting activities, including Air Pollution Emission Notices (APEN), general permits, construction permits, and Title V operating permits.
Work with Operations, the Air Pollution Control Division (APCD) permit engineers and third-party environmental engineering service providers to ensure air permits are accurate and in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Provide necessary recommendations to management and operations to maintain compliance.
Provide air permitting strategy and guidance to the Operations team.
Utilize the Intelex Assets & Compliance Tracking System (ACTS) environmental database and update information and production flow, as needed.
Assist with annual air compliance reporting, , EPA Greenhouse Gas (GHG), EPA Subpart OOOO, APCD Emission Inventory.
Assist with regulatory compliance, reporting, and permitting of drilling and completion operations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar discipline
Environmental experience with an emphasis on air quality in the Oil and Gas industry
Knowledge of federal air quality programs applicable to the oil and natural gas industry; specific experience with federal MACT, NSPS, and Greenhouse Gas emission reporting.
Knowledge of state NSR, PSD, and Title V permitting programs, and air emissions inventory management
Knowledge of engineering simulation software to model and estimate emissions such as Promax, E&P Tanks, Tanks , Aspen HYSYS, and GLYCALC
Knowledge of state-of-the-art Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Monitoring, Measurement, Reconciliation, and Verification (MMRV) technology and methods
Experience with ACTS or another environmental database
Awareness of air dispersion modeling software such as AERMOD
Effective communicator with all personnel from field staff to executive management
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, inclusive of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal skills, including all forms of communication, conflict management, relationship development, collaboration and ability to successfully influence others
Must be willing to travel periodically to field locations
Ability to complete work with limited supervision
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
