We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent for a Federal / VA Hospital Project. Responsibilities :
As the Superintendent, your key responsibilities will include :
1. Overseeing all phases of the Federal / VA Hospital Project, including planning, coordination, and execution.
2. Ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
3. Coordinating and supervising the work of all subcontractors, suppliers, and personnel on site.
4. Developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule, and effectively managing changes to the scope of work.
5. Liaising with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and clients, to ensure effective communication and resolve any issues that may arise.
6. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality of workmanship.
7. Preparing and submitting regular project reports and updates to senior management.
8. Implementing and enforcing site-specific safety programs, and promoting a culture of safety among all project personnel.
Qualifications :
To be considered for the role of Permanent Superintendent, candidates must possess the following qualifications :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction management or supervisory role, preferably within the federal sector and healthcare construction.
2. Ability to travel after completion of Salt Lake City job
3. Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality standards.
4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and solve problems.
5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
7. A thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
9. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is a plus.
