If yes, then we have a thrilling opportunity for you! We are seeking a Permanent Union Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Accounting Finance industry. Responsibilities :
As a Permanent Union Payroll Specialist, your main mission will be to ensure accurate processing and recording of our company’s payroll and provide timely and accurate financial information.
1. You will be in charge of all aspects of union payroll processing, including data entry, processing, and verification.
2. You will manage the administration of the electronic timekeeping system and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
3. You will be responsible for multi-state payroll taxes, ensuring all tax obligations are met on time and accurately.
4. You will manage the administration of the 401K and benefits plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
5. You will prepare reports (monthly, quarterly, and year-end) for management, finance department, and auditors.
6. You will work closely with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
7. You will handle payroll related queries and provide excellent customer service to our employees.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in payroll, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll position, preferably in a unionized environment.
3. Strong experience with multi-state payroll, including knowledge of federal and state regulations.
4. Proficient in payroll software, with a preference for candidates with experience in our current system.
5. Strong experience with 401K and benefits administration.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
8. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
