Position Overview :
The successful candidate will be a California-barred attorney with robust civil litigation experience and a willingness to develop expertise in the field of workers' compensation defense. This role involves direct case management, strategic legal analysis, and collaboration with senior attorneys to deliver superior defense strategies for our clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Case Management :
Manage and oversee workers' compensation defense cases, including pre-trial investigations, discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation.
Analyze case files, draft pleadings, and prepare briefs with meticulous attention to detail.
Litigation Strategy :
Develop, implement, and refine litigation strategies in line with the firm’s best practices.
Work collaboratively with senior attorneys to devise innovative legal strategies and case solutions.
Client Interaction :
Engage directly with clients to update them on case progress and to understand their objectives.
Provide timely and effective legal advice during all stages of litigation.
Legal Research and Writing :
Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant issues, including state and federal laws pertaining to workers’ compensation.
Draft well-researched memoranda, motions, and other legal documents.
Courtroom Representation :
Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials, representing clients with professionalism and effective advocacy.
Team Collaboration :
Collaborate with a diverse team of legal professionals to ensure the highest standard of client service.
Mentor junior associates and support staff in case preparation and legal research as needed.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (
Licensure :
Must be admitted to practice in California.
Experience :
Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience demonstrating a proven track record of success.
Experience in workers' compensation defense is not required but will be considered an asset.

High degree of professionalism and ethical standards.
