Position Title: Accounts Management Trainee
About the Program:
This program combines individualized functional/tactical training with a strong focus on
developing true leaders capable of succeeding in today's competitive environment.
Participants will observe experienced professionals to acquire knowledge of methods,
procedures and standards required for performance of departmental duties. You will also be
assigned a mentor from the SAM (Sales & Account Management) Team.
What You’ll Do:
● Distribution: warehouse operations, safety standards, 5S and Lean processes
● Transportation: fleet operations, driver relations, truckload and cross border training,
industry laws and policies
● Integrated Logistics: brokerage/intermodal/global/Transportation Management
● Port Services: drayage & transloading; network overview and service offerings
● Key Account Management: job function and best practices
● Solutions Design: engineering, facility layout, labor standards
Requirements:
● We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and loads of
initiative
● Recently completed Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting, Business,
Marketing or related field
● Extra-curricular activities that illustrate team building and competitiveness
● Previous employment or internship experience in a related field preferred
● Constantly looking for ways to develop and expand your business network
● Must be flexible for extensive travel and possible relocation upon completion of the
program
● Ability to make independent decisions; work well in a team environment, customer
service skills, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude required
● Strong problem solving, negotiation skills and the ability to think outside the box
● Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests
● Must be goal oriented, results driven and assertive
● Committed to understanding and complying with departmental policies, processes
and best practices
