Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Biology at James Madison University invites applications for two full-time faculty for one year appointments at the rank of Lecturer in the 2025-2026 academic year. We are seeking individuals who will teach existing introductory microbiology, human physiology, and/or human anatomy lecture and laboratory courses (BIO 245, 270, and 290) for pre-professional health students, a variety of health-related majors, as well as Biology majors.
Qualifications: A Master's, Ph.D., or equivalent terminal degree in physiology, anatomy, microbiology, biomedical science, or a related field is required. Prior experience in teaching undergraduate courses in these or related fields is preferred with a stronger emphasis on evidence of excellence in teaching, including demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate, familiarity with instructional technologies, and a commitment to access, inclusion, and diversity in higher education.
