Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Installing and mounting control cabinets and electrical panels onto industrial equipment, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement.
- Drilling, tapping, and preparing mounting locations for electrical components, including breakers, relays, contactors, transformers, and switches.
- Routing and connecting electrical wiring between control panels, junction boxes, and machine components, ensuring neat and organized installation.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for verifying electrical connections meet safety and quality standards before equipment testing and operation. They will work closely with engineers and supervisors to resolve electrical problems and ensure compliance with industry standards.
To be considered for this role, applicants should have technical training in electrical assembly and prior experience as a machine wirer, panel builder, or industrial electrician. Strong understanding of electrical assembly and wiring procedures, familiarity with electrical tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, and multimeters, are essential.
