Electrical Design Engineer
A skilled Electrical Design Engineer is needed to develop electrical schematics, layouts, and components for industrial equipment. This role involves collaborating with multiple engineering teams to create high-quality electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the manufacturing and assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Design & Development:
Design and layout electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for industrial systems.
Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for control panels, cabinets, and electrical assemblies.
Develop electrical designs that meet customer specifications, regulatory standards (e.g., NEC), and safety requirements. - Project Collaboration & Engineering Support:
Work closely with mechanical, controls, and induction tooling engineers to ensure system integration.
Support manufacturing and assembly teams by providing clear instructions and troubleshooting assistance.
Provide technical support to sales, service, and aftermarket teams regarding electrical components and designs. - Component Selection & Performance Analysis:
Research and select appropriate electrical components, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
Analyze performance data and test reports to refine and optimize designs.
Ensure that all electrical components comply with safety and efficiency standards. - Process Improvement & Cost Reduction:
Identify opportunities to improve design quality while reducing production costs.
Research new technologies, materials, and electrical products to enhance system functionality.
Develop strategies to optimize manufacturing efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of electrical engineering experience (or equivalent education/training).
- Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting.
Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and industrial electrical standards.
Ability to analyze electrical schematics, test data, and engineering specifications. - Familiarity with industrial control systems and automation is a plus.
