One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Director, Global Market Access in San Diego, CA.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and executing global market access and reimbursement strategies across a rare disease portfolio. You will work cross-functionally to ensure that innovative RNA-based therapies are supported by the right value proposition and access frameworks to reach patients worldwide. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in pricing, market access, and health policy, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively across medical, commercial, and development teams. This is a high-impact position, contributing directly to the success of both late-stage pipeline development and long-term commercialization goals.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and execution of global evidence and market access strategies for a rare disease pipeline.
- Define payer and HTA requirements to support sustainable patient access and pricing strategies.
- Align internal stakeholders on value messaging, access objectives, and product positioning.
- Partner with clinical and commercial teams to incorporate payer insights into development and indication strategies.
- Prepare and deploy global access toolkits including dossiers, objection handlers, and pricing models.
- Engage early with payer organizations and policy stakeholders to inform evidence generation plans.
- Support international pricing and reimbursement submissions, and represent market access in strategic forums.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Master’s, PhD, PharmD) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the biopharma industry with a focus on global market access or pricing strategy.
- Proven success navigating global payer environments and HTA bodies.
- Strong understanding of value frameworks, coverage/reimbursement systems, and access policy globally.
- Experience leading cross-functional access planning for rare disease or specialty products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
- Competitive base salary: $275,500 – $305,000
