Job Summary
The Senior Vice President Agricultural Lending provides strategic direction and leadership for the association's sales teams, aligning with the Association business plan. This role leads and coaches Regional Vice Presidents and Portfolio Managers to achieve association objectives, ensuring quality sales and customer service while maintaining a balanced financial and risk profile.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach Regional Vice Presidents and Portfolio Managers to achieve association objectives.
- Collaborate with peers on strategic direction in agriculture and commercial lending to ensure success in Ag retail.
- Accountable for the performance, budget, and results of the strategic discipline within assigned territory, association, and system impact.
- Create and execute long-term and short-term strategy for the marketplace in alignment with association priorities.
- Participate in strategic planning for the association and initiative prioritization.
- Represent functional expertise in the Leadership Team, working together with the Executive Committee and other peers to plan for and make association decisions.
- Coordinate, lead, and provide guidance on initiatives and special projects.
- Communicate and network with other association leaders, regulators, and/or political organizations to represent the needs of association customers.
- Exercising management authority in performance reviews, compensation decisions, recruitment, discipline, and other employment decisions.
Requirements
This role requires at least seven years of professional experience in financial services and business development, as well as seven years in a leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, finance, or a related field is required.
