We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Director to join our team at SIUE Campus Recreation. This role will play a critical part in shaping the future of campus recreation and student-focused events.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase student engagement and participation in campus recreation programs.
- Collaborate with campus partners to plan and execute large-scale events that promote unity and inclusivity.
- Provide expert coordination and oversight of events to ensure seamless execution and a positive experience for attendees.
- Assist in setting the strategic direction for key facilities and prioritize operations to meet the needs of internal and external groups.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in recreation, sports management, business, communications, or a closely related field.
- CPR/AED certification.
- A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training, and/or work experience in recreation, sports management, business, communications, or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full-time work experience of at least 2-3 years in a recreation, sports, entertainment venue, special events venue, or collegiate setting.
- Master's degree in recreation, sports management, business, communications, or a closely related field.
- Experience with sales, marketing, and sponsorships.
