Job Title: Associate General Counsel
The Office of General Counsel at Dartmouth College seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel to provide broad-based real estate law counseling advice. The successful candidate will assist with managing real estate related administrative proceedings and litigation.
Required Qualifications:
- Ten years of experience in real estate law in New Hampshire
- Bachelor's degree and a JD from a nationally recognized law school with excellent academic credentials
- Licensed to practice law within the State of New Hampshire
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills and positive, collaborative working style
- Strong academic background with excellent analytical, advocacy, problem-solving, and transaction and project management skills
- Ability to relate well to diverse groups and to build strong relationships
- Possesses an innovative and strategic approach to problem solving
Duties:
- Provides legal advice to Campus Services and other divisional College administrators on real estate matters
- Drafts and negotiates contracts and provides legal advice regarding negotiation strategy
- Assists with legal aspects of Board of Trustee reporting
- Partners with Campus Services leadership in the formulation and execution of strategies for real property assets
