Job Description
The Director of Finance is a critical leadership role responsible for driving financial performance and ensuring the long-term sustainability of MSC. This position requires a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in manufacturing environments and DoD/government contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to support MSC's mission and growth objectives.
- Lead the monthly and annual budgeting processes, including financial forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and contract regulatory requirements.
- Deliver actionable financial insights to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements, including sales tax and 1099s.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital management to maintain liquidity and operational stability.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- CPA certification is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with a strong background in manufacturing environments and DoD/government contracts.
- Proven experience in leading finance teams and managing cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of FAR and DFAR, including cost principles.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
