Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Job Description
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will oversee and lead all technology operations within Gateway Regional High School. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the CTO will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation, and management of the district's technology infrastructure, ensuring it supports both educational and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a multi-year technology plan that aligns with the district's educational goals and operational needs.
- Collaborate with administrators, staff, and the Technology Committee to forecast future technology requirements and ensure scalability.
- Oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Supervise and coordinate district technicians, providing leadership, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Supervision, Administration, IT-related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering).
- Minimum of two years of experience with networked information systems in an educational or professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of local and wide area networks, network security, and telecommunications systems.
Certifications:
- Cisco networking and telephony.
- Windows Servers.
- VMware/Hyper-V.
- Fortigate firewalls and network security.
- Jamf Device Management.
- Digital Security Infrastructure, including door access controls and cameras.
Languages:
- Knowledge of local and wide area networks, network security, and telecommunications systems.
