Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Senior Managing Director (SMD) Relationship Manager to lead client engagement, business development, and long-term relationship management. This role is responsible for fostering high-value partnerships, developing tailored financial solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction while aligning with organizational goals.
The SMD will play a critical role in driving the team's growth and profitability, with a strong focus on business development, portfolio management, and client cross-sell activities. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining high-quality loans by supporting underwriting, portfolio administration, and treasury management functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an extensive network of business contacts, community leaders, executive management clients, prospect opportunities, and referral sources to generate revenue.
- Maximize team profitability through the maintenance of a high-quality loan portfolio, responsible for relationship review, and overall relationship profitability.
- Support Team Leader/Senior Managing Director with growing/retaining relationships for targeted client groups by coordinating and supporting all aspects of relationships; lead team interaction with operations and product groups; plan and manage implementation processes of new products with clients to ensure smooth transitions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- At least 15 years of experience managing banking relationships.
- Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor's, and/or Master's) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to build and expand trusting relationships and partnerships.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies, procedures, and techniques, and well-demonstrated understanding of loan risk factors a plus.
- Knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques and accounting a plus.
