Job Overview:
M&T Bank is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to join our team in Nyack, NY. As a key member of our branch network, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business relationships with existing and potential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Customer Service: Develop new customer relationships and expand existing ones by proactively identifying opportunities through the portfolio management process and utilizing the fundamentals of M&T's sales process to achieve personal sales and referral goals.
- Relationship Management: Play a key role in Relationship Management, including customer assessments, profiling for sales opportunities, account opening, and lead-focused outbound calling.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable risk management standards, policies, and procedures.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a sophisticated understanding of various financial products and services offered by M&T Business Banking.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years proven retail sales, call center, customer service, and/or telesales experience.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Skills: Well-organized individual with time management and prioritization skills, demonstrated financial services product knowledge, bi-lingual based on branch needs, and ability to use fax, telephone system, copier, and other communication tools.
