CT Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic radiologic procedures in Computed Tomography (CT).
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT/diagnostic radiologic procedures ensuring optimal imaging, and verify patient identity using hospital policy guidelines.
- Determine patient needs based on age-specific criteria, position patients for accurate testing, and maintain a sterile environment during invasive procedures.
- Apply radiation safety practices, ensure Infection Control procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
- Empathize with patients and their support systems, express compassion, and demonstrate care appropriate for the patient's age, cultural, religious, gender identity, or ethnic background.
- Assume responsibility for ancillary tasks, such as documentation of charges, ordering of supplies, and maintaining department records.
- Monitor patients, diagnostic procedures, and equipment, making adjustments to ensure optimal results.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in California
- One year recent experience in an acute care facility
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Fluoroscopy license/certification
- AHA Basic Life Support
- Customer service skills
