Responsibilities:
- Supervise dental staff and manage dental activity
- Provide oral health care to patients, including fillings, extractions, dentures, and root canals
- Perform operative dentistry, including repairs and extractions
- Repair and fit prosthetic devices
- Supervise staff in cleaning teeth, making impressions, and maintaining oral hygiene programs
- Arrange referrals for procedures that cannot be performed on-site
- Provide supervision and instruction on preventative practices for maintaining proper oral hygiene
- Submit monthly reports of dental department activities
Requirements:
- Dental license in the state of assignment
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
- Minimum 1 year of practicing dentistry
- Prior experience with electronic medical record systems
