Enterprise Data Architect
We are seeking a skilled Enterprise Data Architect to support the development, data, and application functions within projects and collaborative initiatives.
About the Role
This position will work with various units on emerging technologies, technical design, and project implementation planning. You will collaborate with information technology (IT) and non-information technology personnel to provide feedback on projects and systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall direction, guidance, and support of functions working on data-related development projects and initiatives.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on data development solutions management and design.
- Consult with peers across Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) technology functions related to data governance.
- Provide training, guidance, and thought leadership to the Data Engineers along with other data-oriented teams.
- Assist in the design of enterprise data management systems (various Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), data marts, data warehouse, etc.).
- Prototype data technology concepts and validate the effectiveness of new technologies to meet business requirements.
- Establish and develop enterprise data strategy that is in line with business processes, including data model designs, data development standards, implementation, and management of operational and data analytics systems.
- Collaborate with Data Governance, Privacy, and InfoSec on data-related strategies.
- Partner with other Solution Architects to ensure applications are adhering to best practice and data governance standards.
- Lead the creation of or create design documents that ensure consistency in development of data models and standards across the organization.
- Leads the definition of data architecture to ensure that the organization's solutions are built within a consistent framework.
- Align data strategy to business targets with the IT leaders during planning processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field OR associate degree/two (2) years of college two (2) years of related work/military experience OR four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus any additional required experience listed below).
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in designing data models, database structures, data marts and lakes, and/or enterprise data.
- Certifications in software development, cloud, or data.
