Align global supply network and accelerate efficiency across the organization as External Supply Director. Develop strategic sourcing plans for large molecule and vaccines drug substance, lead contract negotiations with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), and deliver contracts emphasizing value creation and cost control.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in sourcing commercial supply of externally manufactured drug substance, a strong understanding of market intelligence, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing Planning: Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for large molecule and vaccines drug substance, ensuring alignment with GSK's overall supply strategy.
- Contract Negotiations: Lead complex contract negotiations with CMOs for commercial supply of drug substance.
- Value Creation: Deliver contracts which emphasize value creation, critical terms, and effective cost control.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze market intelligence to benchmark the CMO landscape.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate relationships with key internal stakeholders to support GSK's business strategy and communicate supply chain insights.
- Candidate Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, procurement or a relevant technical field.
- Experience: 8 years' experience in the procurement and management of large molecule and vaccine drug substance from CMOs.
- Skills: Strong project and change management skills, advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Master's Degree: Master's degree in business administration, supply chain, procurement or a relevant technical field.
