Director of Finance

This is a full-time, exempt position responsible for monitoring business unit profitability by preparing, analyzing, and monitoring financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and monitor financial statements to ensure business unit profitability
• Oversight and management of all aspects of accounting and financial controls
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures
• Administer financial reporting systems with controls and standards to safeguard company assets
• Ensure timely and accurate financial information is maintained

Financial Statement Preparation:

• Prepare monthly entity level financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Adhere to revenue recognition guidelines in accordance with ASC 606

Staff Oversight:

• Train, oversee, and assure quality of work performed by accounting and finance staff

Internal Controls:

• Determine adequacy of internal financial policies & procedures
• Develop and monitor adherence to those procedures

Banking Partnerships:

• Maintain a positive working relationship with banking partners
• Plan working capital needs

Financial Closing Procedures:

• Complete month end and year-end financial closing procedures

Fixed Assets:

• Maintain the company fixed assets
• Determine depreciation rates to apply to capital purchases

Regulatory Agencies:

• Manage legal entity registrations
• Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies

Benefit Plans:

• Maintain financial records for benefit plans as needed

Audit Process:

• Lead the annual external financial statement audit process

Financial Analysis:

• Communicate financial results to appropriate managers
• Lead the development of short and long-term operational plans
• Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends

Cash Flow Projection:

• Develop, enhance, and implement financial reporting systems
• Develop and maintain a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism
