Director of Finance
The Director of Finance will support AAC and be responsible for accounting and financial reporting, business unit and/or division finance, strategic planning/budgeting, cash management, capital planning, program finance, and new business finance functions.
This role is a key member of the leadership team and will work closely with the CEO and CFO to develop and implement financial and business operations strategies. The Director of Finance will also provide financial guidance to senior staff members and assist in understanding the business dynamics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with at least 15 years of experience and 7 years of leadership experience. Government contracting experience and knowledge of DCAA/DCMA and FAR regulations are highly preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Accounting/financial reporting, division finance, strategic planning/budgeting, financial compliance, cash management, capital planning, program finance, and new business finance functions.
- Providing executive leadership by developing and implementing financial and business operations strategies.
- Managing financial resources to ensure the achievement of the LOB's business plans and objectives.
- Providing financial and accounting guidance to senior staff members.
- Assisting management in understanding the business dynamics.
- Gathering, interpreting, and evaluating operating results.
- Preparing financial statements and reports of findings and recommendations.
- Serving as main point of contact for auditors.
- Directing and overseeing implementation of large programs and projects.
- Selecting, supervising, developing, and evaluating accounting staff.
- Communicating financial metrics, budgets, and information to Thales Defense & Security, Inc. and Thales USA senior leadership.
