About the Role
This position requires a skilled lawyer who can navigate complex agreements related to film distribution, marketing, and ancillary rights. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise and draft commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate acquisition and distribution-related agreements for films and other entertainment properties.
- Draft and revise contest/sweepstakes rules, regulations, and release forms.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and draft agreements for the exploitation of ancillary rights across various product categories.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of legal experience in licensing, marketing, and distribution within an entertainment law firm or in-house legal department.
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
- Familiarity with motion picture production, financing, distribution, acquisition, and talent agreements.
