About the Role
The Senior Director, Public Policy & Advocacy will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive advocacy and public policy strategy to support the mission and priorities of Jobleads-US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a multi-faceted advocacy and public policy strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and priorities.
- Policymaking and Advocacy: Monitor and analyze federal legislative and regulatory activities, contribute to the advancement of existing policies for the mobility impaired community, and represent the organization on national public policy or issue-related committees and coalitions.
- Community Engagement: Leverage relationships, expertise, and community involvement to play a leadership role in defining and advancing the policy agenda of the spinal cord injury (SCI) and paralysis communities.
- Team Management: Supervise staff, oversee consultants, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Four-year college (bachelor's degree) and 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional Qualifications: Significant professional experience in public policy, advocacy campaigns, research and analysis, and coalition building. Graduate degree in a related field.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent level English verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to collaborate well with others and build strong partnerships both internally and externally.
