Job Summary
The General Manager of Sales and Commercial will be responsible for developing, leading, and executing strategies to ensure the success of Dyno Nobel's Mid-West business within the priorities of:

This role requires managing P&L and driving profitability through financial reporting and metrics. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding performance and achieve high customer satisfaction across all industry segments.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager of Sales and Commercial will lead the business in compliance with established procedures and guidelines in areas such as:

This role also includes owning safety compliance, influencing and leading by example to ensure adherence to HSE performance standards. The successful candidate will assess, develop, and manage talent to build a high-performance team.
The General Manager of Sales and Commercial will drive commitment to the Talent Cycle through coaching, development, succession plans, and mitigation of people risks across the region.
This role involves managing and owning the transition of customers/independents to new structure and financial accountabilities. The successful candidate will leverage deep knowledge of operations and markets to develop value selling strategies and constantly drive cost and operational improvements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the General Manager of Sales and Commercial will require:
- 10 years management experience, with at least 5 years at a Regional or Senior level, within a relevant industry (mining or heavy industry)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience with sales and site operations as a regional manager or senior executive
- Advanced people leadership/management skills including leadership, coaching, and performance management
- Experience with manufacturing of emulsion matrix, bulk truck delivery, and on-bench blasting operations preferred
- Experience with safety, environment, quality, maintenance, and training systems
- Sound computer literacy, advanced use of Microsoft Suite
