**Financial Manager Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at JobLeads-US.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including strategic business opportunity analysis and development, as well as related activities. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of finance principles and practices.
- Key Responsibilities:
Direct the development of financial planning and modeling to assess long-term capital and operational needs of the District.
Collaborate with investment banking and bond underwriting companies, state divisions, and other stakeholders to secure financing for District capital projects.
Ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records and prepare necessary financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
Manage accounting personnel and functions to guarantee compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Participate in audits with government agencies, public auditors, and member entities, providing necessary records and information.
Develop and implement internal standard operating procedures and protocols for proper internal controls, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data.
Evaluate and establish protocols for Request for Proposals (RFPs) related to procurement of goods and services in accordance with District Procurement Policy and Utah State procurement rules.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with plant staff, member entities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Analyze and prepare governmental financial statements, advising the District Manager and Board on financial matters.
**Requirements:**
- Education: A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Ten years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or a related field is necessary.
- Skills: Thorough knowledge of organization and management principles, public administration, public and governmental accounting practices, internal controls, cash flow, purchasing, state and federal compliance, taxes, financial reporting, budgeting, Microsoft Office, Excel, and related software and applications.
