This full-time position involves assisting residents in doing as much for themselves as possible, recognizing and respecting their abilities while maintaining the standards of The Kendal Corporation's philosophy of care. You will provide confident, efficient, and complete care as outlined in individual care plans of each resident, supporting residents in a friendly and caring approach.
Responsibilities
* Provide physical and psycho-social support to residents* Assist in creating an engaging therapeutic living environment for individuals with cognitive impairment* Recognize and respect residents' abilities and promote their individuality* Support residents in doing as much for themselves as possible* Provide confident, efficient, and complete care as outlined in individual care plans* Communicate effectively with residents, friends, families, and staff* Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery* Maintain accurate records and reports as required* Meet regulatory requirements and adhere to organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience
* Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant program and state of Ohio exam* Current STNA license in good standing* Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, pull, and transfer residents weighing 50-250 pounds* Excellent communication skills* Reliable transportation or ability to relocate before starting work* Team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team* Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills* Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care* Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and promoting a culture of excellence*
