Job Description
East End Veterinary Center is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program.
Prior to joining the team at EEVC, you will be training at VRC in Malvern, Pennsylvania, an Emergency and Specialty hospital within the Ethos Veterinary Health network, for 5 months. You will transition to EEVC at the start of the sixth month of mentorship to finish training at your home.
VRC is a comprehensive, specialty veterinary healthcare center that is AAHA accredited in surgery and dentistry. While training at this location, you'll have access to a team of experienced, board-certified veterinarians with advanced specialized training.
The ER Immerse Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian.
In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Details
- 6-month training program beginning June 2025 but can accommodate your preferred start date
- #12-month commitment as an ER clinician following the completion of the mentorship period
Work Schedule:
A 5-day work week consisting of 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week, usually consecutive. Rotate with other specialty services during the training program. Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts.
Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds. Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors.
