Job Summary

A highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer with expertise in Java, Linux, DevOps, and AWS is required to lead our team's system operations and advance our company's mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure robust and efficient system operations
• Play a key role in advancing our company's mission
• Leverage leadership skills to develop planning strategies
• Guide early-career engineers and direct the work of emerging talent
• Oversight on application, system, and architecture design decisions
• Remediate issues using engineering principles
• Contribute to and lead technology communities of practice

Requirements

• Strong Scrum background
• Expertise in Java / Linux / DevOps / GitHub / CICD / Ansible / Cloud / Redhat OCP/Datadog/Splunk
• Experience in working in a cloud environment (OCP and AWS EMR)
• Experience with application monitoring tools, observability, and performance evaluations
• Strong experience with DevOps (CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar; High level of familiarity with the Linux command line and scripting)
• Proven skills in high availability and scalability design, as well as performance monitoring and testing
• Experience developing automation solutions in Java, bash, Python, Perl (or other similar languages)
• Extremely comfortable with production environments, firewalls, and networking

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as part of an Agile engineering or development team
• Extensive experience in deploying, observing, altering, logging, and monitoring systems (Splunk, Datadog) with a mentality for predictive analysis
• Working knowledge of the automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform
