Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and partnerships with prospects, customers, and other partners.
- Owning and maintaining commercial templates and terms.
- Providing corporate law expertise, including entity incorporation and maintenance.
- Advising on M&A affairs from a legal perspective.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with AI systems under the AI Act or GDPR when processing personal data is involved.
- Managing risk- and compliance-related matters.
- Reviewing trademarking policy and IP taxation.
- Developing an understanding of technology settings and their legal implications.
Legal Advice
- Keeping the business informed about relevant legal developments.
- Providing occasional advice on labour law due to rapid growth and international expansion.
Requirements
- Masters degree in law.
- Additional Master's or training in ICT, IP, corporate law, or commerce is beneficial.
- 4 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal counsel role, preferably in tech companies.
- Familiarity with the European legal system and an international mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch, with German being an asset.
- Flexibility, curiosity, and a willingness to adapt for improvement.
- A broad range of interests and enthusiasm for involvement in various industries and domains.
