Job Title: Full-Time Physician - Emergency Department
About the Role
We are seeking a Board Certified Physician with emergency department experience to join our team on a full-time basis.
Work Environment
The facility is located approximately 1-1.5 hours from Montgomery and 1 hour from Jackson, Alabama.
Census: Approximately 6,000 annual visits per year in a very low-volume department.
Typical work schedule includes a 48-hour stretch every week, plus one weekend per month.
Supporting Staff
Two registered nurses are always present, working both ER and floor responsibilities together.
X-ray, CT, and lab services are always staffed, with a remote radiologist reading CTs and X-rays.
Responsibilities
ER physicians perform admissions and rounding while patients are admitted.
Average of 2-3 inpatients is typical.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is implemented.
Facilities
Private physician room features a bed, shower, refrigerator, etc.
This position does not accept Visa candidates.
