About the Role
This position is a key member of our Global Medical Affairs team, responsible for cultivating relationships with healthcare providers and other stakeholders in the field of rare genetic diseases.
The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of BioMarin's products, including ACH-approved therapies, as well as experience in project management and leadership. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships with healthcare providers and other stakeholders in the field of rare genetic diseases
- Develop and implement strategies to support scientific objectives and company-defined goals for products
- Provide education and resources to health care providers on disease states and BioMarin products
- Serve as a medical/scientific resource through answering unsolicited medical questions and addressing other related medical information queries
Requirements:
- BA/BS in life or health sciences; Experience in rare genetic diseases, ACH and/or Skeletal Dysplasia therapy preferred
- Knowledge of regulations impacting Medical Affairs and field activities in the pharmaceutical industry
- Project management understanding and experience
- Ability to work in a virtual environment and knowledge of virtual and collaborative systems
