The Molecular Diagnostics Technologist is responsible for performing all aspects of testing in a molecular laboratory. This includes evaluating and introducing new material, methods, and equipment to determine their feasibility and adaptability for clinical molecular studies.
In addition to performing routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing, the technologist will also oversee inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies, instrumentation and equipment maintenance, and perform complex molecular-based procedures with a high degree of quality and in accordance with established protocols.
