About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our church's Kids and Student Ministries team as a Hand Over Hand Ministry Director.
In this role, you will lead our Neurodiverse Ministry, providing care and advocacy for families impacted by disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies for recruiting, processing, and training volunteer teams to support neurodiverse kids/students.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure our church is inclusive and sensitive to the needs of neurodiverse families.
- Maintain and improve classroom environments tailored to the unique needs of neurodiverse kids/students.
- Provide training for church staff on neurodiversity and inclusive practices.
- Contribute to the planning, execution, and follow-up of designated EastLake Kids Ministry events.
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of neurodiversity and experience working with children and students with diverse needs.
- The ability to communicate effectively with volunteers, staff, and families.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
