Job Title: Patient Care Technician/Health Unit Coordinator Non-Certified

About the Role:
This full-time day position requires a team player who can demonstrate competency in various aspects of patient care. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be responsible for documenting vital signs, intake and outputs, and patient activity. You will also assist with restraints, obtain blood glucose readings, and report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate personnel.
In this role, you will work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe and effective patient care. Your duties may include answering call lights, placing phone calls, and acting as a communication liaison for patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Current Florida Certification as a Nursing Assistant or current enrollment in an RN program with completion of at least first semester clinicals preferred
- One year of healthcare nursing assistant experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Perform duties assigned by the Nurse Manager or Registered nurse in compliance with established process standards, structure standards, and protocols of the assigned unit
- Work in cooperation with all team members to accomplish departmental goals and objectives
- Deliver competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care when assigned as a PCT
- Perform clerical duties when assigned as a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
