Job Summary:
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides comprehensive care for patients before, during, and after medical procedures or surgeries. Key responsibilities include performing patient assessments, preparing patients for anesthesia, administering and maintaining anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management, overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia, and caring for immediate post-operative needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
- Prepare patients for anesthesia by explaining procedures, obtaining informed consent, and administering necessary medications.
- Administer and maintain anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management, monitoring vital signs and adjusting anesthesia as needed.
- Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia, closely monitoring for any adverse reactions or complications.
- Care for immediate post-operative needs, including managing pain, nausea, and other symptoms.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where the position is located.
- Board certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
