Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality palliative care, including pain and symptom management as a consultant to patients, physicians, and other team members.
- Conduct educational seminars, in-services, and presentations for healthcare professionals to improve patient care and promote hospice services.
- Provide consultation and joint visits in hospital or home settings for acute patient clinical problems.
Requirements:
- Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school.
- Membership in good standing on the medical staff of at least one contracted hospital.
- Board certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
