About the Role
We are seeking a skilled physician medical director to lead our hospital medicine program. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate attendance to important hospital-based meetings including the Department of Medicine and Medical Staff meetings
- Help reach quality metric goals as identified by the physician team and hospital administration
- Build relationships with key leaders in the hospital based on trust and open communication
- Help build a positive team culture
- Have working knowledge of CMI, LOS, Mortality, and other key hospitalist performance and efficiency metrics
- Work collaboratively with the hospital CMO to ensure delivery of high-quality care
- Work closely with leadership team to help ensure goals are collaboratively met
Requirements
- Active medical license
- EMR – Epic
- In-house specialty backup available from Cardiology, Nephrology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Pulmonology, Podiatry, Urology
