A primary care physician opportunity exists for internal medicine-trained physicians to join an established primary care practice.

The position involves examining patients, obtaining medical histories, treating acute and chronic illnesses, ordering and performing diagnostic tests, and collaborating with staff and other physicians to improve care delivery and service.
To be successful, candidates must possess a degree of MD or DO, ABIM-recognized internal medicine residency, or ABFM-recognized family medicine residency. They must also have valid American Board certification, a Connecticut medical license, BLS certification, DEA registration, and Controlled Substance Certificate.

Responsibilities:
- Examine patients and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Order and perform diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with staff and other physicians to improve care delivery and service.
- Initiate specialty referrals as needed.
- Provide clinical information to the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensure accurate and complete patient documentation.
- Achieve optimal patient access.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with billing, coding, and CPT code assignment.
- Provide on-call coverage.
- Give feedback to and accept feedback from staff.
- Act professionally and comply with policies and federal/state laws.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree.
- ABIM-recognized internal medicine residency or ABFM-recognized family medicine residency.
