Job Overview
La Clínica de La Raza is a community-based health center dedicated to providing culturally sensitive, high-quality care to the diverse populations of the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to advocate for and create a health home for those who have been denied access to care.
About Us
As a healthcare activist organization, we are committed to ensuring individuals without health coverage receive quality care equal to those with insurance. Since our inception in 1971, we have addressed the economic and social factors affecting health by providing services outside traditional settings to bridge patients to our health center for preventive and primary care.
What We Offer
At La Clínica, you will be part of an exceptional care team delivering comprehensive medical care in an outpatient setting. You will work with a resilient patient population that is ethnically diverse and medically complex, striving to achieve optimal health outcomes for every individual. We support our providers in their pursuit of meaningful roles, offering opportunities in mentorship, quality initiatives, and preceptorships. Our Nurse Practitioner incubator program prepares new graduates for their roles, and we offer robust benefits including educational leave, license reimbursement, FTCA malpractice coverage, and flexible work schedules.
Responsibilities
Deliver evidenced-based care supporting improved health outcomes, exceptional patient experience, and efficient resource use. Provide medical triage, medical care management, and patient education/counseling to a panel of patients. Perform routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care, determining appropriate regimens. Serve as a member of the cross-functional team delivering routine and preventive primary care, chronic illness management, urgent care, and telephone triage. Prescribe medications/treatments or order medical diagnostic/tests.
Requirements
We seek a highly skilled and compassionate NP/PA with a current California license, national certification, and completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program with at least 2 years of clinical experience. A Physician Assistant must hold a current California license, graduation from an approved program, passing a certification examination, and a minimum of 2 years of full-time clinical experience.
