**Leading Causal AI Decision Engine**
Spreetail is a fast-growing ecommerce company that propels brands to increase their global market share while improving operational costs.
We are seeking a Principal Data & Applied Scientist to lead our causal AI decision engine, driving applied mathematical frameworks and experimentation designs across the company. This role reports to the VP of Decision Science and involves direct-to-CEO visibility and influence over the company's roadmap.
This team and leader are responsible for the largest learning models at Spreetail and take pride in solving practical decision science challenges at scale.
The successful candidate will be expected to inform and improve the company's highest priority initiatives through data and decision science.
Responsibilities:
- Build best-in-class data models and algorithms that drive business actions at a massive scale.
- Develop flexible and responsive models that adapt to changing variables or influx/departure of variables.
- Train, test, and deploy models with quality and efficiency.
- Break down major initiatives into smaller components and tasks.
- Document systems and explain them to stakeholders.
- Eembodiment of Science & Technology Principles and guiding decisions.
- Create an environment of knowledge sharing and growth, prioritizing leadership and development of others.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, AND 6 years of related experience OR equivalent experience.
- Advanced-to-expert level skills in Python for statistical programming.
- Demonstrated excellence in a data science/modeling role.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying end-to-end causal inference models at scale.
