Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Systems Architect to join our Engineering team based in Mukilteo, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for making high-level decisions regarding the design and architecture of complex systems in support of automated aircraft manufacturing systems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and architect complex systems ensuring technical solutions align with high-level system goals and constraints.
- Set technical direction for complex systems projects and lay foundational blueprints that guide development teams.
- Interface with PMs, PMO, and customers to understand user stories and desired functionality of products.
- Develop, plan, and execute projects, leading two or more engineers technically.
- Guide and train other members of the project team.
- Assist in career development of one or more senior engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Robotics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
- 13-20 years of experience in conjunction with a bachelor's degree, or combination of Master/PhD and experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Five or more years of experience crafting high-level design choices and frameworks.
- Interpersonal skills and knowledge to work within an engineering development team spanning multiple disciplines.
- Experience with agile project management methods and tools including Jira.
- Proficiency with PLC architecture and programming.
- Proficiency in programming in C/C .
- Experience programming with JavaScript and .NET C#.
- Experience programming with Typescript, Json, React, and Node.
- Proficient in reading/interpreting JSON and XML.
- Understanding of robotic systems and systems development and deployment for automation applications.
