Product Integrity Engineer

The Product Integrity Engineer role at Tesla Jobleads-US involves leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmental stress screening and ongoing reliability testing programs across Energy & Charging products. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and experience leading cross-functional teams, solid Mechanical or Electrical Engineering fundamentals, and 3-10 years of hands-on experience in hardware design, design validation, hardware testing, mechanical system reliability testing, and durability testing.

About the Role:
The Product Integrity Engineer will be responsible for communicating and streamlining reliability program requirements, determining component/system level test solutions, and working closely with Reliability, Design, and Manufacturing teams to validate manufacturing reliability results and suggest design and/or process improvements. They will also communicate reliability validation plans for components and subsystems, drive reliability assessments in program reviews, and influence supplier selection for higher reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmental stress screening and ongoing reliability testing programs across Energy & Charging products.
• Communicate and streamline reliability program requirements for environmental stress screening and ongoing reliability testing globally.
• Determine component/system level test solutions that optimize product reliability and durability, FMEA-based risk mitigations, test team resources, and program schedules.
• Work closely with Reliability, Design, and Manufacturing teams to validate manufacturing reliability results and action plans suggesting design and/or process improvements to address reliability and durability issues based on understanding of failure root causes.
• Communicate reliability validation plans for components and subsystems providing guidance on sample size requirements and durations for reliability testing.
• Drive reliability assessments in program reviews and clearly communicate risk at product lifecycle.
• Influence supplier selection for higher reliability and provide clear guidance on reliability requirements and demonstration to suppliers.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Strong communication skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Solid Mechanical or Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
• 3-10 years of hands-on experience in hardware design, design validation, hardware testing, mechanical system reliability testing, and durability testing.
• Understanding of accelerated testing methods, governing equations, and physics of failure for different failure mechanisms.
• Working knowledge of failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, SEM, CSAM, X-ray, cross-sectioning and EDX.
• Knowledge of programming in scripting languages for test automation and data analysis/post-processing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of reliability warranty analysis and reliability prediction methods.
• Experience working with complex electronic and mechanical systems.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and five or more years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role.
