As the Summer Program Director, you will oversee the Developmental Preschool summer program, ensuring compliance with Arkansas Child Care Licensing and Early Intervention Day Treatment requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Developmental Preschool summer program team
- Conduct regular reviews of the center to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- Manage classroom staffing to maintain an adequate staff-to-child ratio
- Work with the Assistant Director on staff management and documentation
- Communicate with onsite therapists regarding therapy caseloads and child needs
- Assist with IT needs for classroom and therapist computers
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director to administer developmental assessments and monitor Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs)
- Support the Summer Program Coordinator with scheduling and interviewing for open positions
- Complete performance evaluations as needed
- Assist with staff orientation and training
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or a related field from a regionally accredited college/university
- Basic computer skills, including keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and company policies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
