Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide practical nursing support in an outpatient setting at Carilion Family Medicine in Giles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient assessment, medication management, and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and current medications.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
- Provide patient education on lab results, medications, and treatment plans as directed by providers.
- Assist with lab procedures and assist with referral authorizations for specialists and pre-authorizations for testing and ancillary services.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing required.
- Licensure as a Radiologic Technician Limited if performing radiology.
- One year experience in a physician office preferred.
