Job Description
This position is responsible for leading the development of data models to support business intelligence systems.
- Responsible for mentoring application and infrastructure teams in BI/DW architectural issues and best practices.
- A comprehensive understanding of the company's business activities and excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience mentoring technical teams in BI/DW architectural issues and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Data-model Architecture across the Enterprise BI program.
- Govern standards for data definitions and manipulation.
- Develop Technical Specifications and Mapping Documents.
- Lead ETL Developers in the development of data models and implementation of best practices.
- Senior resource for troubleshooting data model-related issues.
- Management of projects with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate selection criteria experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of BI tools and methodologies.
- Proven knowledge of data modeling techniques, including Kimball approach, Inmon, and data vault.
- Expertise in a CASE tool (ERwin, ORACLE Designer 2000, ER/Studio, etc.).
- Exposure to integration tools (DTS, SSIS, Informatica, Data Stage, etc.).
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Proficient in Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server.
