The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis, providing leadership in fiscal processes and recommending enhancements for operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Perform highly specialized and complex financial analysis, including budget development, performance monitoring, and benchmarking.
- Develop and provide high-level reports for executive review, analyzing financial data and recommending strategic decisions.
- Lead the fiscal planning process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Support modeling of financial and business impacts, developing forecasts and projections.
- Collaborate with auditors and accountants to maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with state and internal audit standards.
- Provide information to internal/external auditors and management as requested.
- Coordinate and participate in the preparation of various financial reports, business plans, and analyses.
- Develop and revise methodologies for forecasting costs and revenues.
- Develop or coordinate preparation of budgets, program narratives, and finance plans.
- Participate in the design and implementation of budget and financial system improvements.
- Use computer software to model resource scenarios and develop cost-benefit analyses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a healthcare-related discipline preferred.
- 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis is highly valued.
- Project analysis experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools is advantageous.
